The head coach of Guinea-Bissau national team Baciro Balde has reacted following his side’s shocking victory over the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Abuja.
Despite parading some of the biggest names in world football at the moment, Nigeria struggled at home for the entire 90 minutes.
Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, and Samuel Chukwueze all started the game for the hosts, but they failed to find the back of the net.
The Wild Dogs pulled off the big upset as the lone goal of the match came in the 29th minute after Mama Balde slotted the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.

Despite several efforts by the Super Eagles, Guinea-Bissau contained Nigeria for the rest of the game and that goal was enough to seal the three points.
After the game, Cande told journalists:
“This victory is for the Guinea-Bissau people, we respect all the Nigerian players, but big names don’t play football on the pitch.
“We are surprised, but the team trained very hard and today they beat Nigeria, a big football country with good players. We feel good about this victory against Nigeria.”
Ahead of the return leg in Guinea-Bissau, the tactician added:
“I will keep the team in focus ahead of the return leg and we will see what is the best strategy to adopt for the next game.
“I can’t really speak about the strategy we deployed in today’s match because we have another game next week.”
Super Eagles coach Peseiro refuses to comment on rumoured salary delay by Nigeria's FA
FootballSports Brief earlier reported that the captain of the Super Eagles Ahmed Musa has urged young players to invest the money made from football before it is too late.
Musa disclosed this in an exclusive chat with Sports Brief just before Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea Bissau.
Asked how he has managed to continue to do this, Musa said he has already planned for life after football.
