Ronaldo delighted to see Dalot
Fernando Santos was sacked after the disappointing World Cup outing. His replacement, Roberto Martinez, has called up the Al-Nassr forward to his first squad, as reported by talkSPORT.
The captain is expected to lead the team in the first international break of the year for matches against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg in the Euro 2024 qualifying series.
The callup has allowed Ronaldo to see some old faces he had not seen since he left Europe to move to the Middle East.
In a video recirculated on Twitter by ESPN, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was seen having a fun moment with his former teammate Diogo Dalot as the pair reunited for the first time since the end of the World Cup.
