Abdulazeez Zulfah Says Meeting Neymar Remains the Best Moment of Her Career

Hijab-wearing Nigerian female footballer Abdulazeez Zulfah has stated emphatically that meeting Brazilian soccer star Neymar remains the best moment of her career.

Zulfah in May 2022 was selected together with other female footballers for them take part in an invitational tournament in Qatar where they all met the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

The players chosen for the soccer fiesta were all asked to show their skills for one minute each and it was Neymar who picked the eight of them himself.

Speaking exclusively to Sports Brief, Zulfah who plays from the right back explained that she was shocked initially when Neymar pointed to her that she should be part of the trip to Qatar.

The Kwara born player added that she never believed it until she got to Qatar and played on the same pitch with Neymar.

''I was lucky to be chosen to travel to Qatar for the tournament and it was great for me to meet Neymar because I have never in my life thought that I would meet such player.

''Although we did not talk well because he spoke to us in his language which I did not understand, but his expression and the smiles on his face was heartwarming.

''Meeting Neymar remains the best moment of my career because he is a very simple person who takes life simple.''

The Brazilian attacker has been at the centre of numerous reports that suggest he will leave the French side at the end of the season.

Neymar wants to see out the rest of his contract with the side and plans to eventually retire at PSG.

The Brazilian, who is now 31, is contracted to the French side until 2027. Neymar would be with the club for a total of 10 years if he sees out his contract.
