United is 'playing La Liga'
On social media, Man United fans could not help but notice an interesting trend with the games they were facing in the Europa League.
Having come up against Real Sociedad in the group stage, United faced Barcelona in the round of 32, before knocking out Betis in the last 16 stage of the tournament.
Facing Sevilla will offer a chance for some revenge, as the Spanish side knocked them out in 2020 en route to winning the competition.
It will not be easy, however, as Sevilla have a history of performing extraordinarily well in the Europa League, regardless of their struggles in La Liga.
