Wife of Christian Atsu, Marie-Claire Rupio paid an emotional tribute her late husband as he was laid to rest in Ghana following his tragic death last month.
The Ghana international was tragically killed in the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6.
Atsu's body was recovered from a collapsed building after almost two weeks, before being transported to his home country for the final rites.
In her tribute, Rupio said a part of her was gone without her love - her husband.

Atsu's wife pens emotional tribute
Atsu's wife revealed she had written a tribute to her husband and the father of her three children. This was read out at his funeral today (March 17).
"Lying before me today is the mortal remains of a beloved father and husband. I knew little that morning that God is going to call you home. In life, I loved you dearly. In death I do same. It breaks my heart to lose you."
"You did not go alone for part of me went with you. Your love is still my guide, and though I cannot see you, you are always so full of life."
Rupio also described Atsu as seeming immortal and how she saw his smile and his love in their children.
"You are never really gone as part of you is within them. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. But as you always say, God wins. In love, your wife."

FootballAtsu and Rupio were married for over a decade.
The former Chelsea and Newcastle United player's last involvement in the game was in the match between his club, Hatayspor and Kasimpasa in Turkey.
Atsu netted the winner from a late free kick, only hours before disaster struck.
He made 65 appearances and scored nine goals for the Black Stars of Ghana.
Atsu's son follows father's footsteps

In a photo shared on social media by Atsu's wife, the youngster is seen with a golden trophy, celebrating his success.
