Ivan Rakitic, however, retired from international football back in 2020. The current Sevilla midfielder went on to earn 106 caps for the Croatian national team and scored 15 goals along the way.
Meanwhile, Luka Modric could be on his way out of Real Madrid after 11 seasons with the reigning La Liga champions at the end of the current season, The Sun reports.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr are reportedly interested in signing the veteran Croatian midfielder should he be made available by Real Madrid.
