Luka Modric has identified Cristiano Ronaldo as 'the best player' he has ever teamed up with.

One of his ex-Real Madrid teammates, Luka Modric has touted the Portuguese phenomenon as the best he has played with.

Modric, nearing the twilight of a remarkable career, gave Ronaldo the accolade after the pair spent six successful years together at Real Madrid.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player I’ve ever played with,” he told Rio Ferdinand in a conversation, as quoted by CX.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder, Modric named his dream team which included Ronaldo and former Barcelona star, Ivan Rakitic.

The Croat has already played with a plethora of stars following a spell at the Spanish giants and his pivotal role for his national team.

It is no surprise the first name on the 37-year-old's five-a-side roster was Ronaldo, given the successes they shared at Los Blancos.
