Victor Wanyama's Spurs cruise to Champions League final following superb comeback

English Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, have made the final of the Champions League after defeating Ajax 2-3 (3-3 aggregate) at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday night, May 8.

After a hard fought game packed with exciting football and a torrent of goals, Mauricio Pochettino's side figured out their opponents bane and used to dismantle them.

All eyes were on the Johan Cruyff Arena as Spurs attempted to get it right in the second leg semi-final and overcome a first leg 0-1 deficit, that allowed the Eredivisie side to start with confidence.

And in five minutes red hot teenager Matthijs de Ligt found the back of the net to put his side ahead in no time.

In the first half, Ajax displayed class and exquisite totalfootball to outclass the North Londoners and it was not long before Hakim Ziyech delivered the Dutch club's second of the night to make it 2-0.

And at the sound of the half time whistle, it looked like it was lights out for Spurs champions League campaign.

However, that was not the case as a rejuvenated Spurs — probably spurred on by Pochettino's half time pep talk — came outside meaning business and got to work straight away.

Lucas Moura was the man of the match for the White Lilies after he bagged a hat-trick in the second half, scoring the winner at the 11th hour, after persistently attempting to sink Ajax.

Victor Wanyama will be the second Kenyan to feature in a Champions League final after Spurs booked a date with Liverpool at the Champions League final in Madrid.
