Unfortunately for Antony, neither him nor any of his United teammates could break the deadlock as they played out to an entertaining barren draw at Old Trafford.
He was hooked off in the 73rd minute as Erik ten Hag attempted to shore up things in pursuit of three points.
Antony then took to Twitter after the game and wrote:
"We will always be together, brother!! Raise your head, we have a lot ahead of us!!"
After the draw, United remain in third with 50 points, 16 off league leaders Arsenal.
Why Casemiro will miss four games
Prior to moving to Manchester United, Casemiro had never received a straight red card at Real Madrid. That may be hard to believe, given that the Brazilian never shies away from getting into tackles and brawls on the pitch, but it is a fact.
Casemiro is now set to miss the next four games for ten Hag in England. One might wonder how come he will miss four and not three or two games which is often believed to be the punishment for a sending off.
Why Casemiro will miss 4 games, not 3, after his red card vs Southampton
FootballGiven that it is his second red card in the same season, the five-time Champions League-winning midfielder will now be banned for four games.
He will sit out of the FA Cup tie against Fulham before missing Premier League clashes against Brentford, Newcastle and Everton.
