FootballJude Bellingham: Liverpool, Real Madrid Target Issues Savage Response When Asked to Join Manchester United
- Jude Bellingham has seemingly ruled out Manchester United as one of the clubs he could join in the summer
- Bellingham is expected to attract a bidding contest, with many clubs lining up to sign the midfielder
- Liverpool and Real Madrid are the perceived front runners who has immensely come of age in the Bundesliga
On-demand Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has issued a damaging response when he was asked whether he will join Manchester United this summer.
Bellingham is one of the most sought-after players in the transfer window. After a blistering World Cup campaign with England and a splendid time in Germany, it is highly likely that he will move to a new club once the window opens later this year.
A couple of top clubs, led by Liverpool and Real Madrid, have been touted as the ideal destinations for the 19-year-old. Chelsea and Manchester United are the other clubs expected to bid for the midfielder, with Dortmund set to put a heavy price tag on him.
However, if Manchester United had harboured any thoughts of getting the midfielder, perhaps his recent social media activity should deter them.

Bellingham posed for a photo with a fan who ended up taking a video and asked the England international if he would sign for Manchester United, to which he responded:
"Don't be silly," as he walked away from the camera.
The response can be interpreted either way a fan wants it, but it won't be welcome news for the Red Devils. Their arch-rivals Liverpool are the perceived frontrunners for his signature.
Erik ten Hag wanted a midfielder immediately he took over the Old Trafford job with a long pursuit for Frenkie De Jong failing to materialise. The Red Devils then signed Casemiro from Real Madrid, who has since settled in well at the club.

FootballInside Bellingham's famous number 22 shirt
Sports Brief had earlier reported that Bellingham has made the number 22 famous in football as the England midfielder has worn the iconic number on all his shirts since he became a professional.
Bellingham started wearing jersey number 22 when he began his career with his hometown club Birmingham City and retained the same number when he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020.
The reason the 19-year-old midfielder still wears the rather unusual squad number is that Birmingham told him from a young age that he did not need to limit himself to one role.
