List of top 10 clubs with highest wage bill among European sides

Barcelona and Real Madrid are the teams that pay the most wage bill among the top clubs in Europe.
Premier League sides including Man City, Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal are also among the top ten teams with the highest pay-per-player.

Others on the list are La Liga side Atletico Madrid, French club Paris Saint Germain and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
The annual wage bills of teams were released by SafeBettingSites as the 2019-20 season has come to a conclusion.
Here are the top ten teams and the highest paid players on their pay roll.
10. Arsenal
The Gunners spent KSh 677 million (£4.78million) wages per player with Mesut Ozil racking up the highest amount with a KSh 50 million (£350,000) wages every week.
Arsenal finished in a disappointing tenth position but won FA Cup and secured a spot in the Europa League next season.
9. Atletico Madrid
A player at the Wanda Metropolitano averagely earns £5.37m yearly with the world's best goalkeeper Jan Oblak's weekly income is pegged at KSh 50 million (£350,000).
Diego Simone's men finished third in La Liga behind Real Madrid and Barcelona but they are still in contention for a Champions League title.
8. Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp won the Premier League for his employers breaking the 30-year jinx to lift the trophy in style.
Mohamed Salah is the highest paid player at Anfield and takes home KSh 28 million (£200,000) a week in wages as each player earns £5.53m annually.
7. Man United
The Reds Devils finally returned to the Champions League after finishing Liverpool and Man behind on the league table.
An average yearly income at Old Trafford is £6.12m with season-flop David De Gea taking home the highest at KSh 53 million (£375,000) a week.
6. Bayern Munich
The Bundesliga giants already have the league and cup up in their sleeves and are strong contenders for their first Champions League since 2014.
Each player at the Allianz Arena earns £6.19m with star player Robert Lewandowski pocketing KSh 39 million (£275,000) a week.
5. PSG
The extra-ordinary wages of Neymar since his world-record move to the Parc des Princes in 2017 is a massive KSh 85 million (£600,000) a week and the least player pockets £6.81m annually.
The Parisians have been in superb form this season and are one of the favourites to win their first Champions League title.
4. Man City
City have been big money spenders since the take over from the oil-rich Abu Dhabi United Group as their star man Kevin De Bruyne is their top earner with KSh 45 million (£320,000) wages.
Each member of Pep Guardiola's squad on the average goes home with £6.98m yearly and they have the best chance to win the elite competition after eliminating Real Madrid.
3. Juventus
Juventus will be disappointed with their season after just landing their ninth consecutive Scudetto despite their huge annual wage bill of £7.71m.
Cristiano Ronaldo remains their highest earner with a take home of KSh 76 million (£540,000) a week since joining the Turin club against back in 2018.
2. Real Madrid
Gareth Bale earns the megabucks in Madrid despite his troubles with coach Zinedine Zidane with a massive KSh 85 million (£600,000) a week in wages.
The star-studded squad comprising Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Sergio Ramos and others could not make their position in Europe count. Each player averagely earns KSh 1.2 billion (£8.5m).
1. Barcelona
There has been speculation about Lionel Messi's departure at the Camp Nou as he is currently the most paid player on the planet with a staggering KSh 163 million (£1.15m) in wages.
La Blaugrana has had a disappointing season after losing their La Liga title to rivals Madrid despite their huge wage bill which goes for £9.37m per player.
