Nigeria's legendary Austin Jay Jay Okocha's childhood will be brought back to life in the form of an animated series to be showed on Showmax.
The upbringing of the former Super Eagles captain has been recreated for fans and will soon be airing on screens in Africa.
Okocha enjoyed a stellar career in Europe, but little is known about his beginnings in Nigeria before leaving the shores of Africa to continue his football abroad.
The 1996 Olympic Gold medalist shared his excitement after it was confirmed an animated series on his life will be brought to the cinemas.

“I’m honoured to have an animated series that reimagines my childhood,” he said, as quoted by deadline.com.
"I'm excited about the show and grateful to Showmax and the production team who worked hard to bring it to life."
The series: Jay Jay The Chosen One will have 13 episodes and will look into the life of an 11-year-old Okocha, whose love for football saw him join forces with friends in school to create a team.
Okocha played for several clubs in Europe, including Paris Saint Germain, Bolton Wanderers and Eintracht Frankfurt.
