Jude Bellingham has made the number 22 famous in football as the England midfielder has worn the iconic number on all his shirts since he became a professional.
Bellingham started wearing jersey number 22 when he began his career with his hometown club Birmingham City and retained the same number when he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020.
According to Sport Bible, the reason the 19-year-old midfielder still wears the rather unusual squad number is due to Birmingham telling him from a young age that he did not need to limit himself to one role.

Birmingham's head of development Mike Dodds says that Bellingham was told he could be a No.4, (holding midfielder) No.8 (box-to-box midfielder) and No.10 (attacking midfielder) and play each position at the same level.
The addition of all numbers adds up to 22 which Bellingham has now adopted as his favourite shirt number in all his teams.
Dortmund provide Bellingham transfer update
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has insisted any talk of Jude Bellingham's future will be addressed in the summer amid interest from some European top clubs, Manchester Evening News reports.
After Bellingham's impressive growth at Dortmund, speculation about the 19-year-old is at an all-time high as the teenager also shone brightly for England at the World Cup finals in Qatar.
Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester United are some of the European top clubs interested in signing the midfielder from Borussia Dortmund.
Bellingham urged to snub Liverpool
Earlier, Sports Brief reported former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes Jude Bellingham will be a better fit for the Red Devils than the England midfielder joining Liverpool.
Both Premier League clubs are going neck to neck for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who has been touted to make a mega move in the summer.
Ferdinand believes with Manchester United’s recent trajectory, they would be the best possible option for Bellingham to join other than Liverpool, who has stagnated.
