Manchester United beat rivals to the signing of highly-rated Welsh star

Jude Bellingham has made the number 22 famous in football as the England midfielder has worn the iconic number on all his shirts since he became a professional.
Bellingham started wearing jersey number 22 when he began his career with his hometown club Birmingham City and retained the same number when he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020.
According to Sport Bible, the reason the 19-year-old midfielder still wears the rather unusual squad number is due to Birmingham telling him from a young age that he did not need to limit himself to one role.

Birmingham's head of development Mike Dodds says that Bellingham was told he could be a No.4, (holding midfielder) No.8 (box-to-box midfielder) and No.10 (attacking midfielder) and play each position at the same level.
The addition of all numbers adds up to 22 which Bellingham has now adopted as his favourite shirt number in all his teams.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has insisted any talk of Jude Bellingham's future will be addressed in the summer amid interest from some European top clubs, Manchester Evening News reports.
After Bellingham's impressive growth at Dortmund, speculation about the 19-year-old is at an all-time high as the teenager also shone brightly for England at the World Cup finals in Qatar.
