Ronald Araujo might be Barcelona’s best defender this season but the Uruguayan got his inspiration from Paris Saint-Germain star, Sergio Ramos.
The Uruguay international joined the Catalans in 2017 from his hometown club, Boston River for €1.7 million and has seen his value skyrocket to between €30 mil and €50 mil in just a few years at Camp Nou.
According to Football Espana, Araujo was advised by his club's coaches to watch Real Madrid legend, Ramos in order to improve when he first arrived in Spain.
Ramos is regarded as one of the brightest talents to have come out of La Liga, with the former Real Madrid defender winning 22 major honours, including five Spanish league titles and four UEFA Champions League crowns.

Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has referred to Araujo as his most improved player, with the Uruguayan having made 21 appearances this season in all competitions for the Catalans.

Meanwhile, Araujo should be back in time for when Barcelona takes on Real Madrid in a fortnight in the Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg at Camp Nou, Barca Universal reports.
