Victor Wanyama set to acquire UK passport amid Spurs exit rumours
Kenyan international Victor Wanyama is set to acquire a British passport having resided in the United Kingdom for more than six years.
According to UK immigration laws, one can apply for citizenship by naturalisation after 5 years of residence.

The Harambee Stars captain has been in the UK for more than six years, enough legal period to earn him the country's passport.
The Tottenham midfielder first landed in the UK in 2011 after signing for Scottish giants, Celtic from Belgian club, Beerschot.
Two years later he moved to England with Southampton before decamping to Tottenham in 2016.
Reports in the UK indicate the Harambee Stars skipper was keen to quit Spurs last summer for a move abroad but had to wait to acquire his British passport first.

The passport will see him recognised as a citizen and will enable him travel and move to other leagues across the world with ease.
Wanyama would however not be the first Kenyan footballer to acquire a foreign passport, goalkeeper Arnold Origi switching his allegiance to Norway in 2016.
Meanwhile, this latest development comes at a time the defensive midfielder has been linked with a move away from the North London club.
Spurs recently signed French midfielder Tanguay Ndombele throwing Wanyama's future at the London club into doubt.
Newly-promoted side, Aston Villa, are understood to be interested in the player.
