Ferran Torres missed a penalty for Barcelona as the Catalans triumphed against Valencia 1-0 over the weekend, but the Spaniard’s clash with Ansu Fati was the highlight of the day.
La Blaugrana had been awarded a penalty to extend their lead and both Torres and Fati stepped up to take the spot kick for the Catalans, resulting in an altercation.
The two players would later get into an argument about who would take the penalty kick, with other Barcelona stars intervening in the little scuffle.
Fati was visibly annoyed at not being allowed to take the penalty, which was eventually missed by Torres after playing the spot kick wide.

Barcelona would eventually see out the win to extend their lead at the top of the La Liga table to nine points ahead of rivals, Real Madrid.
Xavi explains Fati, Torres scuffle
Meanwhile, Barcelona manager, Xavi has revealed Torres was the designated penalty taker for the Catalans in their La Liga game against Valencia, Football Espana reports.
The coach had to clear the air after two of his stars clashed over who would take a spot kick, after La Blaugrana was awarded a spot-kick against Valencia.
According to Xavi, the staff decided on an order for the penalties which was communicated to the players, and Torres was at the top of the list.
