FootballMo Salah's Immediate Plans After Smashing Liverpool's Premier League Goal Scoring Record
- Mohammed Salah made history with his two goals against Manchester United on Sunday
- The Egyptian is officially the highest scorer for Liverpool in the Premier League
- He exhibited some humility by declaring intentions to celebrate his feat with family and some tea
Mohammed Salah was the man of the hour on Sunday, March 5, after Liverpool completely destroyed Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield.
The Egyptian looked like a man of past seasons as he was ungovernable, especially in the second half with a mixture of goals, assists and superb dribbles.
Despite his goals, Salah’s most outstanding moment was a one-on-one with Lisandro Martinez, which left the Argentine on the floor.
With his goals, Salah became Liverpool’s all-time goal scorer in the Premier League, overtaking the great Robbie Fowler.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Salah discussed his record, but one comment stood out among the many words he said.
Most football stars would be up all night celebrating a derby win and a personal record, but not Salah, who intends to have a simple evening with family and some tea.
“It’s very special, I can’t lie.” Salah said as quoted on the Liverpool website.
“This record was in my mind since I came here. I think after my first season I was always chasing that record. To beat it today against United with that result is unbelievable. I’m going home to celebrate with the family, have a camomile tea and sleep.”
For his second goal, Salah smashed home off the crossbar after a Liverpool counterattack and celebrated by taking off his shirt. He received a yellow card, but it mattered little to him, and he was all smiles as he was getting booked.
