Kompany's 'destiny' to manage Man City, says Guardiola

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has appeared to endorse Vincent Kompany to succeed him at the Etihad Stadium.
Kompany called time on his illustrious playing career in the summer of 2020 before he transitioned to become the head coach at Anderlecht.
The legendary defender has since managed to build a reputation as one of the fastest rising managers in Europe.
His tenure as Burnley boss has been a revelation, with the Clarets on course to seal a return back to the Premier League under the tutelage of Kompany.

Burnley are currently topping the Championship standings with 77 points, an incredible 11 points ahead of second-placed Sheffield United.
Pep now contends Kompany is destined to take charge of Manchester City at some point in his managerial career.
According to the Spaniard, 'it is written in the stars' that his former defender will be back at the Etihad as the manager some day.
“He will be back sooner or later. His destiny to be the manager of Manchester City is already written in the stars," The Sun quoted Guardiola saying.
“It’s going to happen, I don’t know when but it is going to happen I am pretty sure," the City boss added.

FootballEarlier, Sports Brief reported Pep Guardiola was trusted by Barcelona in 2008, when he was promoted from their team B manager to managing the senior team. He never disappointed, winning a massive 14 trophies in four years.
He also spent three successful years at Bayern Munich, and started a league winning streak that is still on to this date and saw the Bavarians win 11 consecutive titles.
His longest role so far is at current club, Manchester City where he has dominated English football. Some of his past captains and assistants are currently doing well at their respective clubs.
