According to Daily Star and BBC Sport, Juve have already swung into action after "activating all the isolation procedures required by law".

The rule states that everyone who has been in contact with the defender would embark on self-quarantine to avoid infecting others who are clean at the moment.

He said: "You will have read the news and that's why I want to reassure all those who are worrying about me, I'm fine.

"At this moment, however, I feel even more duty to thank all the doctors and nurses who are struggling in hospitals to face this emergency.

"I urge everyone to respect the rules, because this virus makes no exceptions! “Let's do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us.”

Juventus released a statement on Wednesday evening to notify everyone of Rugani’s positive results.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to travel back to Italy from Portugal where he has gone to check his mother who is currently recuperating from stroke.

His refusal to travel back to Italy with his family comes after Juventus' teammate Daniele Rugani was confirmed to have contracted the deadly disease coronavirus and has been quarantined.

Rugani is now the first Serie A player to have contracted the disease and he shared the same dressing room with Cristiano Ronaldo during their win over Inter Milan.
