Ajax manager John Heitinga says Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus is the kind of player fans come to the stadium to watch.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder produced another outstanding display as the Dutch champions strolled to a 3-0 win over De Graafschap in the KNVB Cup.

After the game, Heitinga described the former FC Nordsjaelland star as exceptional while highlighting his qualities.

"Mohammed Kudus is a player with exceptional qualities. He can go past players, he is very good in small spaces, this is the type of player you go to the stadium for," he said after the match.

Kudus created Ajax's second which was bundled home by Dutch forward Steven Bergwijn.

"A long time without a goal, that's not good. But he was good again today," said Bergwijn after the game having ended his goal drought. "Every footballer has lesser phases in his career, but then it is important to stay close to yourself and work hard with the staff."

Jorge Sanchez had opened the scoring 14 minutes earlier in the first half. Brian Brobbey, a player with Ghanaian heritage, sealed victory for the Dutch giants in the second half.
