Former Nigerian international, Emmanuel Emenike was spotted with the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi after the conclusion of the country's 2023 general election.

Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission has announced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress as the President-elect.

Obi, against all odds, won 12 states including Lagos and Abuja, with many Nigerians claiming he should have been the outright winner of the poll.

Nigerian outlet, Premium Times reported that Tinubu got 8,794,726 votes, the highest of all the candidates, while Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party garnered 6,984,520.

The Labour Party's Obi came third in the election with a total of 6,101,533 votes but many of his followers have rejected the outcome, claiming the polls had been rigged.

Barely 24 hours after Tinubu received the Certificate of Return from the electoral commission, Emenike - the scorer of the most goals at AFCON 2013 - met with the presidential candidate.

Sharing a picture on his official Instagram handle, Emenike added the caption:

“Nothing is impossible when God is on your side.”
