Asafa Powell and his wife Alysia paid a visit to the family of late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu to commiserate with them following the tragic passing of the player.
Atsu sadly died following the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria last month, where over 50,000 people are reported dead.
The former Ghana international was found 12 days after disaster struck the city of Hatay, where the former Chelsea winger plies his trade.
Powell is in Ghana for a visit but took the opportunity with his wife, who was born at the same place Atsu grew up in Accra, to pay their respect for the winger.

"Christian Atsu's demise is very heartbreaking. We were from the same place, we will be commiserating with the family," said Powell's wife, who is from Ghana, on GTV Sports Plus.
Preparations for the final funeral and burial of the player are currently ongoing with the government of Ghana pledging to support the family.
Several footballers and ex-teammates of Atsu have visited the family house in Accra to console the family.
Atsu's scored the winner for Hatayspor in his last game for the club before the earthquake happened hours later.

Powell was received by some high-ranking members of the Ghana Athletics Association and will be in the country to share his experience in the sport with the country.
