Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed unhappiness over his club's exit in the English FA Cup after losing at home against Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round of the competition.

The Nigerian international scored a goal for his side, but it was not enough against Rovers, despite playing infront of their supporters at the King Power Stadium.

Going into this game, Rodgers and his team were the clear favourites to win the encounter, but they met a more determined opponent who sent them out of the championship.

Surprisingly, Rovers took a two-goal lead against the Foxes before Iheanacho reduced the deficit, but his side were unable to get another goal.

Tyrhys Dolan scored the first goal for Rovers in the 33rd minute before Sammie made it 2-0 for the visitors in the 52nd minute.

Iheanacho pulled one back for City in the 67th minute.

According to a report on Daily Post, the Super Eagles star says losing at home was very painful for him.

''I am so disappointed, I don’t even have the words now especially because we were at home.

“We did our bit but it was not enough. If you don’t do what you have to do, you get punished. We just have to look forward to the Premier League and do better.”
