Samuel Chukwueze Makes Spanish La Liga Team of the Week

Following his impressive performance for Villarreal in their comeback win over Getafe on Monday night, 27 February, Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has made the team of the week.

The Nigerian forward was in brilliant for for his team as he scored a fantastic goal and also provided an assist in a match that Villarreal won 2-1 infront of their faithfuls.

Going into the encounter, Villarreal had lost their previous three games and they needed to win so as for it to boost their morale.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Chukwueze was not the only Villarreal player named in the La Liga team of the week.

Chukwueze now has three goals in 22 league appearances and 10 in all competitions for the Submarines this season.

Sports Brief spoke to Chairman of Kwara Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Ismail Ayodeji, he explained that he is impressed with the performance of Chukwueze urging him to continue impressing.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles forward, Samuel Chukwueze was in fine form on February 27, scoring and created an assist for Villarreal in their 2-1 win over Getafe.

The score in the La Liga clash was the Nigerian's 10th of the season and he was also named 'man of the match' for his impressive outing.

Villarreal went into the game in search of three points to improve their place on the league table and did well at the Estadio de le Ceramica.

However, the win did not come easy for the team, who had to fight back from a goal down.
