The score in the La Liga clash was the Nigerian's 10th of the season and he was also named 'man of the match' for his impressive outing.

Enes Unai scored for Getafe in the 9th minute before Chukwueze restored parity for Villarreal in the 44th minute.

The Nigerian winger then created an opening for Jose Morales to score what would be the winner in the 52nd minute.

The win lifted the former Europa League winners to seventh position on the La Liga table. So far this term, they have amassed 34 points from 23 games.

Meanwhile, Chukwueze is expected to be part of the Super Eagles team that will play in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March.
