  • Kylian Mbappe has once again sparked Manchester United's transfer rumours with his social media activity
  • Mbappe congratulated Jadon Sancho on his Carabao Cup triumph with a warm message
  • It has been a long road back for Sancho, who had to take a break from first-team training to work on himself

Kylian Mbappe left a wonderful message for Jadon Sancho hours after Manchester United won the Carabao Cup on Sunday.

Goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford helped United beat Newcastle United to win their first trophy under Erik ten Hag in a thrilling contest at Wembley.

The win was a testament to the fine work ten Hag is doing in reclaiming the club's lost glory. The manager has revitalised almost every aspect of the club, with most players hitting top form.

Rashford instantly comes to mind with the England forward hitting a new gear after the World Cup break, but there have also been plaudits for Sancho.

Sancho's issues at Manchester United

Sancho took an extended break from first-team training with ten Hag's blessing to work on his fitness. Signed from Borussia Dortmund, the 22-year-old was yet to convince at Old Trafford.

He finally came back for United's Carabao Cup semifinal second-leg clash against Nottingham Forest on 1st February. He has since scored two goals.

Mbappe was impressed with the progress Sancho was making after he uploaded a photo all smiles during celebrations.

"Good to see you with the smile."

It has been reported in some quarters that Sancho also needed the time off to reset his mental health. His omission from England's squad in the run-up to the World Cup is said to have taken a toll on him.

Mbappe causes social media stir

Meanwhile, did Kylian Mbappe suffer an Instagram glitch, or is he trying to send a hidden message? That's what many fans are asking after the Paris Saint-Germain attacker's latest post on social media.

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Mbappe took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with the words "Tout reste à faire @psg," which roughly translates to "Everything has to be done."

However, it is the translation that has caused quite a stir on social media. Clicking on the translate option added another line to Mbappe's original message, which reads 'Manchester United's team is now on.'
