  • Erik ten Hag's dedication and input at Manchester United has started to bear visible fruits
  • Ten Hag ended the club's six-year run without a trophy by winning the Carabao Cup
  • However, he is already focused on winning the next one as they chase an unprecedented quadruple

He is the man of the moment. When he was appointed to take over at Old Trafford last year, he knew that a daunting task was awaiting him in England, but he remained unfazed.

Armed with Eredivisie experience, Erik ten Hag made the switch from Amsterdam to Manchester, hoping to reclaim a club that has been in the gutter for so long.

Losing your opening game in a new club, in a new country, is always disheartening. Losing the first two is simply disastrous. Losing it with a shambolic first-half performance where you concede four goals is catastrophic.

But ten Hag remained calm and stuck to his plan, discipline and dedication. It doesn't matter who you are. He did away with Cristiano Ronaldo, forced Marcus Rashford to toe the line, and so far, the results have been huge.

His first sign of success came after he led his side to clinch the Carabao Cup after beating Newcastle United in the final.

Ten Hag is hungry for more success

The Dutch tactician has maintained that his players need to keep their heads down despite their latest success. United are still pursuing trophies on three other fronts.

After giving his post-match remarks after an extended period of celebrations, ten Hag forgot to take the Carabao Cup with him, forcing the reporters to remind him.

He then comically quipped that he had already forgotten about it and was fully focused on getting the next one.

It is really a new era at the Theatre of Dreams.

Ten Hag dances with his players

Sports Brief has also reported that ten Hag was spotted joining a dance with forward Antony and defender Lisandro Martinez. Both players were wrapped in the flags of their respective countries. He was then asked about the dance.

Ten Hag signed both players from Ajax, where he also enjoyed a fair share of success with them before moving to England.
