Flying Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the quarter-final of the ongoing 2023 Under-20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt after beating Mozambique 2-0 in final group game.
Ladan Bosso and his wards started their campaign in the competition unimpressive losing against Senegal before they raised their games to win their next two games.
After their opening defeat, fans in Nigeria were not happy with some even blasting Bosso for the pattern he instructed his men to play.
How they beat Mozambique
Samson Lawal and Ibrahim Muhammad scored two sublime goals for Bosso’s side in the first half.

The seven–time champions finished in second position in Group A behind the Cubs of Senegal.
Statement made by Bosso
“We worked for it. We have seen them play about two matches in Cairo.
“We tried to rush them and we did just that and got our two goals in the first half. The second half we introduced other players preparing them for the next stage.”
Victor Osimhen makes history
