Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has slammed Antonio Rudiger for his role in Angel Correa’s red card in the Madrid derby on Saturday evening.
Rojiblancos managed to salvage a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu despite playing with ten men for the last 30 minutes of the match.
Substitute Correa was sent off by referee Gil Manzano in the 64th minute for an off-the-ball incident involving the Real Madrid defender.
Videos shared on social media show minor contact from the Argentine forward towards Rudiger, with his hand striking his chest.

As reported by Football Espana, Simeone Simeone was irritated by the referee's decision, claiming Rudiger’s theoretical reaction ensured Correa’s dismissal.
“The contact is not a hit. Rüdiger is 1.94m”, as per reports from Diario AS.
“A blow so brutal that he apparently had to sit down, but was quickly able to stand up.
“It could be a yellow, but if we send off a player for that, there would not be a player left on the field.”
Correa is set to miss Atletico Madrid's next three league games if the ban is not upheld by La Liga.
