  • Sibusiso Vilakazi is ensuring that his search for a new club is a very short one
  • He scored a remarkable bicycle kick goal while training with Sekhukhune United recently
  • The 33-year-old Vilakazi had recently departed from TS Galaxy under controversial circumstances

It appears that Sibusiso Vilakazi's search for a new club will not be a long one.

The 33-year-old former Bafana Bafana striker scored a stunning acrobatic goal in a training match with Sekhukhune United. The video was shared on Twitter by the team's coach Brandon Truter, with the clubless Vilakazi probably on trial.

Truter added that were Babina Noko to sign him, it would only be during the off-season, though pre-contracts are allowed during the closed transfer window. Vilakazi recently departed from TS Galaxy under a cloud, with rumours that he had fallen out with coach Sead Ramovic.

Vilakazi was part of a swath of signings of players over the age of 30 who were brought in to ensure that the Mpumalanga-based outfit remains in the DStv Premiership.

Mosimane responds angrily to Ramovic

No bad words against Sibusiso Vilakazi shall prosper as long as Pitso Mosimane is interested.

The current Al Ahli Saudi coach waded into the furor that has ensued following Sibusiso Vilakazi's sudden and controversial departure from TS Galaxy.

Defending his former player at Mamelodi Sundowns following Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic's stinging criticism, Mosimane made his feelings known on Twitter.

Parker criticises "ageism" in PSL

New TS Galaxy striker Bernard Parker has vented his frustration at a form of prejudice in the Premier Soccer League.

The experienced former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana front man has accused clubs in the league of ageism. The 36-year-old Parker says that players in their 30s should be judged on what they have to offer and not how old they are.

Last July, chairman of the Rockets Tim Sukazi made a statement of intent for the new season by pouncing on free agent Sibusiso Vilakazi after the 32-year-old was let go by Mamelodi Sundowns. Also on the team's roster in terms of over-30s are Lindokuhle Mbatha (37) and Vuyo Mere (38).
