Samba Diallo who is the captain of the Senegalese Under 20 national team has stated emphatically that sticking to the instructions of their coach helped them beat Nigeria.
The Flying Eagles on Sunday, 19 February, started their campaign at the ongoing 2023 Under 20 Cup of Nations on a losing note as Faye's goal helped Senegal record a 1-0 win.
It was a disappointing defeat for coach Ladan Bosso and his wards who were tipped to win the title before the start of the tournament.
And losing their first game in the competition was not a welcome result for Nigerian fans.

Bosso before he and his wards left Nigeria vowed that they would do everything possible for them to excel at the tournament.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Diallo who plays for Dynamo Kyiv explained that adhering to instructions made them beat Nigeria.

“We respect everyone, but we will fight in every game to stay competitive in the competition.
“We carried out the coach’s instructions and adhered to the plan, and the result was that we succeeded in winning the match.
“We are a distinguished team and we will continue to do everything we can to win the title.”
