An adorable video has emerged on social media where Nigerian international Calvin Bassey was spotted taking off his match jersey and handing it over to a female fan on the pitch.
The lovely scene happened on Sunday, 19 February, a few minutes after Bassey and his teammates at Ajax defeated visiting Sparta Rotterdam 4-0 in Eredivisie encounter.
Although, the Nigerian defender was not among the goal scorers, his input in the match was amazing as he made sure that the opponents had no goal.
After the referee blew the final whistle for the match, Bassey signaled for the female fan to come onto the pitch where he gave the shirt out.

The female fan's reaction
The lady was elated that she got a shirt from the Super Eagles star, and immediately put the gift under her jacket.

Bassey has been with Ajax since 2022 and the Nigerian star has featured in 19 games so far netting one goal.
The former Rangers star is also expected to be in the Super Eagles squad for the coming African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
