Ghana's Ministry of Youth and Sports have made a donation of GHC 50,000 to former youth team coach, Sellas Tetteh.
The ex-Ghana U20 coach has been unwell for some time now and has been in and out of hospitals seeking treatment.
The FIFA U20 World Cup winning coach claimed in a recent interview that he has been neglected by the government and the Football Association, despite his exploits with the national teams.
His public cry has seen the government come to his aid, with the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, the honourable Evans Opoku Bobie presenting an amount of GHC 50,000 to the coach.

"The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Evans Opoku Bobie on [February 20] led a delegation of officials from the Ministry to pay a visit to the ailing former coach of the Black Satellites, Mr Sellas Tetteh at his residence in Accra," the Ministry wrote on their official social media account.
The Deputy Minister was said to have expressed excitement at seeing the coach hale and hearty amid reports of him being unwell.
"He noted that the purpose of the visit was to ascertain the health condition of the coach and also to make a cash donation of GHc 50,000 on behalf of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to meet the medical expenses of the coach."
Tetteh made history 24 years ago by winning the FIFA U20 World Cup with Ghana, becoming the only nation from Africa to achieve that feat.

Ayew makes donation to Tetteh
Sports Brief also reported on Andre Ayew donating an undisclosed amount to former Ghana U20 coach, Tetteh following his public claims of neglect.
The former Black Satellites coach made history by becoming the first gaffer in Africa to win the FIFA U20 World Cup.
Tetteh led the Ghana U20 team to success in Egypt, beating Brazil in the finals on penalties to claim the global title.
