A bizarre photo has been trending on social media of an official from Shooting Stars of Ibadan urinating on the pitch before their NPFL clash against the visiting Akwa United.
The unusual incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, February 19, a few minutes before the kickoff of the Nigerian top flight game in the ancient city.
The official of the home team stormed to the centre where the ball will be placed and started urinating on the spot, apparently thinking it would help 3SC spoil the 'voodoo' of the opponents.
Considering how he was comfortable doing his business, it appears that match officials for the game did not notice the incident or were still in the dressing room.
