Former Premier League star Yaya Toure has stated emphatically that he would love Manchester City to win the EPL title this season ahead of rivals, Arsenal.

The race to win the English topflight title is becoming more tougher, interesting and competitive on every match-day as Arsenal fans are roaring, while those supporting the Citizens also want to celebrate.

On a more serious note, Mikel Arteta and his wards have been in fascinating form this season in the Premier League as they have gotten the highest number of wins so far.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Toure who is now an academy coach at Tottenham explained that he wants Man City to retain their title.

“At this moment Arsenal are doing fantastically well, The pressure is going to go both ways. You can see the results where Man City lost a point and Arsenal got three points in a tough game where they have twice been on the back foot.

“I hope Man City will make it but let’s see as they are both in fantastic form in the running at the moment.”

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure revealed that he would like to patch up his differences with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Toure and Guardiola shared a frosty relationship over two spells in England and Spain. Toure did not enjoy significant game time as he would have liked under Guardiola.

At one point, the former Ivory Coast captain said that Guardiola did not like African players.
