According to The Mirror, the Bayern ace has quickly made his presence felt in the heart of Erik ten Hag’s midfield, with the absence of Casemiro - who is currently suspended - making his arrival timely.

With the Brazilian ruled out of the cracker, the Red Devils' manager was left with no choice but to partner Sabitzer with Fred in the middle of the park.

Sabitzer escapes red card

However, the Bayern loanee was fortunate not to get sent off for a rash challenge on a Leicester City player.

The incident happened in the dying minutes of the first half of the clash when the midfielder launched an ugly-looking tackle on Foxes defender, Wout Faes.

Referee, Stuart Attwell opted against red-carding the United ace however, much to the surprise of many, including pundits.

According to The Mirror, Attwell’s decision was backed up by the VAR, Paul Tierney, with the current laws meaning a yellow card could not even be shown retrospectively.

This is because Sabitzer's challenge was adjudged not to have been made with sufficient force or momentum to warrant a card.

Rashford's price tag revealed

Sports Brief has also reported on Manchester United reportedly slapping a price tag on Marcus Rashford, seeking an eyewatering €130 million for the in-form forward.

The English international has been in fine shape for the Red Devils this season, having hit top form in the months since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Rashford has found the back of the net 24 times so far this season, with his latest strikes coming from a brance against Leicester City on Sunday.
