Manchester United fans tore into Jamie Vardy by reviving the not-so-distant memories of the case of his wife, Rebekah, versus Wayne Rooney's wife, Coleen.
Vardy took to the pitch late in the second half at Old Trafford on February 19 as Leicester City fell to a heavy 3-0 defeat despite a brilliant start.
The English forward, who has found the going tough this season, replaced Kelechi Iheanacho in the 75th minute looking to inspire a late turnaround for the Foxes.
But as the Indian Express reports, he was savagely welcomed to the pitch by chants of 'Jamie, your wife is a grass' which was then followed by further chants of 'Rooney! Rooney! Rooney!'

After a legal dispute that lasted close to three years, the case was finally settled on 29 July in 2022, with Judge Justice Steyn ruling in Coleen's favour, as the Guardian reported.
It is not the first time Man United fans have taunted Vardy. In the reverse fixture in September, Vardy was treated to the same mocking song.
