  • Celebrity painter Rasta The Artist has only gone and done it again
  • The divisive painter has revealed his latest work, that of Royal AM owner Shauwn Mkhize and the club's chairman Andile Mpisane
  • As to whether there is a resemblance between real-life people and their portraits remains a point of contention

Shauwn Mkhize and Andile Mpisane are the latest public figures to feel the brush of Rasta The Artist.

MaMkhize, the owner of Royal AM, and Mpisane, the chairman of the club, were painted by the divisive artist outside Chatsworth Stadium in Durban. This was during Thwihli Thwahla's 1-1 draw against SuperSport United in a DStv Premiership encounter on Saturday.

Naturally, any work that Rasta puts out will be a source of debate, considering the wildly inconsistent quality it comes in, and whether the subjects look like it in real life.

Mpisane indulges in kasi flava

Admittedly, Andile Mpisane does know how to entertain with the ball at his feet.

A video has gone viral on Twitter of Royal AM's chairman indulging in kasi flava showboating for the club's DStv Diski Challenge team against KwaZulu-Natal rivals Lamontville Golden Arrows. The derby match would eventually end in a 1-1 draw.

Mpisane has been a subject of much debate and derision throughout the season, having been an unused substitute in the senior team. He did appear for the team in a Macufe Cup match last October against Kaizer Chiefs, which Thwihli Thwahla won on penalties.

Maduka gets Mpisane's hopes up

As far as Royal AM coach, John Maduka is concerned, Andile Mpisane can break through into the first team's starting line-up.

The 21-year-old club chairman put on a disastrous performance last Saturday when he started as captain of the DStv Diski Challenge team which drew 1-1 against AmaZulu.

He is yet to make an official appearance for the senior team, despite being on the bench throughout the season.

Mpisane "stars" as captain against Amazulu

Andile Mpisane is determined, one way or another, to finally make his Premier Soccer League debut.

The chairman of Royal AM made an appearance for the club's DStv Diski Challenge outfit against AmaZulu.

Selected as the captain, it was a bland and unremarkable performance from Mpisane, which won't help his senior team cause.
