  • There is nothing worse than being out-skilled by your opponent in any sports
  • For some reason, it seems to hurt even more when it happens on a football field
  • It gets even worse when this humiliation is captured forever on the internet

There is humiliating an opponent, and then there is REALLY humiliating your opponent.

Football players enjoy nothing better than embarrassing a player from the other team whatever the reason might be. The spectators will, of course, give a mixed reaction to the pure nerve and disrespect.

A video on YouTube has shown pure evil in terms of bamboozling defenders unlucky enough to try and dispossess a particularly skillful individual. A compilation of the silkiest moves at amateur levels in South Africa and across the continent will have you either chuckling to yourself or roaring in laughter

A video has gone viral on Twitter of Royal AM's chairman indulging in kasi flava showboating for the club's DStv Diski Challenge team against KwaZulu-Natal rivals Lamontville Golden Arrows. The derby match would eventually end in a 1-1 draw.

Mpisane has been a subject of much debate and derision throughout the season, having been an unused substitute in the senior team. He did appear for the team in a Macufe Cup match last October against Kaizer Chiefs, which Thwihli Thwahla won on penalties.

'Skhwama' Matete returns to PSL

The nickname 'Skhwama Sa Matariyana' is associated with beautiful chaos on a South African football field.

It belongs to the one and only Tshepho Matete, one of the most skillful soccer players to have been seen on the pitch, whether it be in an amateur or professional match.

He came to national prominence - and caught the attention of clubs - after he was seen on YouTube video compilations pulling off sensational tricks with the ball at his feet, leaving crowds under his spell on grassless pitches across Gauteng.

He will now get his chance to rekindle that magic with Chippa United in the Eastern Cape.
