The Piggyback incident
In truth, Bristol City had been pushing for an equalizer for large parts of the second half.
In fact, in the 81st minute, Sunderland’s Luke O’Nien resorted to desperate measures to attempt to quell an attack as he literally hopped onto the back of Bristol’s Alex Scott and the referee had no option but to brandish a yellow card.
Interestingly, Scott took the foul like a champ as he did not retort, as O’Nien planted a kiss on him in apology. The incident is simply hilarious to watch.
