- The Cameroonian has now lifted the lid between him and Ronaldo before he moved away from Saudi Arabia
Cristiano Ronaldo's time in European football ended at the end of last year. He went to Qatar for the World Cup as a Manchester United player but finished the tournament without a club.
An explosive interview with Piers Morgan criticising the club, owners, manager, facilities and teammates led to the termination of his contract. He opted against staying in Europe and instead joined Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
He signed football's most expensive contract, worth £172m per year, on a two-and-half-year contract to continue his playing career in the Middle East despite turning 38 a few weeks after the move.
Aboubakar reveals Ronaldo's conversation
Ronaldo's presence impacted the squad as they had to let go of one foreign player to comply with eight required foreign players. Vincent Aboubakar left and rejoined Besiktas, as revealed by Daily Sabah.

The Cameroonian has now cleared the air on the allegations that he was forced out by the Portuguese presence, claiming he could have stayed but chose to leave. He told Talents d'Afrique on Canal+, as quoted by Mirror UK.
“We talked a bit and his opinion was that he wanted me to stay. I told him no, that I will leave for family reasons. He asked me where my family was, I told him they are in France and so I prefer to go to Turkey [as] it's closer. And he told me it's better, if your family is really far away, it's more complicated. I was firm, I wanted to leave.” he said.

Gustavo said the presence of the 38-year-old Portuguese charges up opponents and makes them prepare hard for games before they face the capital club.
