The news of him wanting to buy Sheffield United came up in January, and many fans were asking the reason for him to show interest in owing an English club.
Many lashed out at him with suggestions that the billionaire should first own a club in the Nigerian League thereby investing in the country's topflight since he made his money in the West African nation.

According to the report on Naija Footballers, Mmobuosi claimed that he is one of the most scrutinized individuals.
“I run a public company, the scrutiny for me is different and I feel that. My market cap is hit because maybe wall street has refused or failed to understand our message. But we are undervalued and I feel that if I weren’t Nigerian or African, it would have been different.
“So, I think the world needs to change this attitude of naming people, shaming people, or doubting people because they come from a certain place.”
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian billionaire Dozy Mmobuosi is seeking to acquire English club Sheffield United in a deal said to be worth around £90million.
