According to The Mirror, Mudryk's social media activity came shortly after Chelsea's trip to West Ham last Saturday.

At the time, Cucurella came under fire from a section of the Blues fans who accused him of 'overlooking' the Ukraine international on the pitch.

Footage from the incident showed the Spaniard awkwardly apologising for missing Mudryk's run, with the forward evidently annoyed by the snub.

The incident sparked speculation that a feud could be brewing between the duo barely weeks after the former Shakhtar Donetsk star switched to Stamford Bridge.

However, Potter has since come out to deny the existence of any rift between his two stars, with the Chelsea boss describing the situation as 'common problem.'

Speaking ahead of his side's Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund, the Englishman added that the incident was 'just an understanding problem.'

“There’s no problem in terms of anything sinister at all. If anything it’s just team-mates understanding each other, it’s quite a common problem, I would say," Potter said via the Mirror.

Potter also reminded the media that it was only Mudryk's third game with the team.

"It’s more just an understanding challenge, which is quite easy to understand when you recognise the context that we’re in," he added.

John Terry gives Potter warning

Sports Brief also reported on Chelsea legend, John Terry cautioning Graham Potter amid the Blues' ongoing struggles.

The West Londoners have struggled since the English coach arrived from Brighton & Hove Albion back in September 2022.

The 2021 UCL winners have managed just six points since the turn of the year, with their last three fixtures ending in draws.
