The duo have been stalwarts of Madrid's success over the years, but both are in the final months of their time with Los Blancos.

What about Jude Bellingham?

As noted by Madrid Universal, the club will make a decision depending on whether they sign Jude Bellingham or not.

According to the publication, who referenced Marca, Madrid is keen on retaining Kroos and Modric but will let one go if they sign Bellingham.

Modric, already being 37 years old, is likely to not have his contract renewed by the club is Bellingham signs and if Kroos accepts a new deal.

If Bellingham signs and Kroos opts to leave, Modric will most likely be offered an extension. With Madrid looking to build toward the future, they see Bellingham as a key part of that.

Madrid without the dynamic duo

As noted by Managing Madrid, Kroos recently touched on the team's style of play without him or Modric in the squad.

“To me it’s clear that we can play together still [laughs]. Lately when we haven’t been on the field we’re seeing a different kind of football, we can still win but there’s a difference, no doubt in my mind that we can play together.

Modric rejects Saudi for Madrid

Real Madrid has been urged to retain the services of Luka Modric even as the club plans to carry out a massive clear out of their fringe and ageing players in the summer.

Modric is into the final six months of his contract with the La Liga champions and could be set to depart Santiago Bernabeu with an offer from the Saudi Pro League waiting.

The 37-year-old midfielder has been offered a contract worth €40million per season to join Al-Nassr, Sports Brief reported.
