Ignatius Ganago has been excused from Nantes' Europa League first leg play-off encounter against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium following the tragic demise of his five-year-old daughter.
Ganago's daughter was said to have been sick for days and was even on admission before she passed away in Cameroon throwing the whole family into deep mourning.
The 23-year-old has however left the camp of his team in France and travelled back to Cameroon so as for him to be with his family in his trying period.
According to the report on Juvefc, Nantes chiefs also understood the condition Ganago and his family will be in Cameroon and they have given him days off.

One minute of silence
Before the Europa League kickoff on Thursday, 16 February, there will be a one minute silence in the memory of the young child and to show respect for Ganago and his family.

Juventus and Nantes have met in Europe just once before which was in 1995/96 season and it was the Italians that progressed to the Champions League semi-final on 4-3 aggregate.
Attack of Cameroonian referees
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how referees in a Cameroonian MTN Elite Two league game between Unisport FC de Bafang and Victoria United were brutally attacked before the match ended.
Fans of Unisport swarmed onto the pitch after the centre referee awarded a 92nd minute penalty to the away team.

FootballThe referees were then savagely attacked by furious supporters, forcing the match to end before the final whistle was blown.
Hundreds of fans rushed onto the pitch immediately after the referee awarded the penalty, forcing officials to run for their lives.
Unisport were leading the game before the unfortunate incident occurred.
The Cameroon Football Federation is yet to issue a response to the barbaric act which happened on Sunday.
