Former Inter Milan star, Sulley Muntari joined his friends in Accra to play street football as he maintains fitness following his retirement from the game.

The 2010 UEFA Champions League winner call it quit to an illustrious career after his brief spell with Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak ended last year.

Muntari is yet to announce his next move in the sport but runs a number of successful businesses in Ghana and Italy.

In a video shared on social media, Muntari is seen displaying skills as he takes on his opponents in a friendly encounter.

The former Portsmouth and AC Milan midfielder has been in Ghana since leaving Europe in 2019, where he last played for Spanish outfit Albacete.

The 38-year-old enjoyed a successful career abroad, winning the 2008 FA Cup with English side Portsmouth. He also won the treble with Inter Milan in 2010 and represented Ghana at three World Cups.

His last game for Ghana was against Germany at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He was banished from camp after the match due to disciplinary reasons.

He scored 20 goals in 84 matches for the Black Stars.

Muntari insists Partey needs time

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari believes Arsenal star Thomas Partey needs time to give his best to the national team.

Partey has come under intense pressure from Ghanaians following his lukewarm display for the Black Stars at the World Cup.

Fans of the Black Stars believe the 29-year-old is not committed to Ghana as he is for English Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Muntari meets Ghana team in Qatar

Former Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has paid a visit to the Black Stars team, ahead of their opening Group H game against Portugal on Thursday.

The 38-year-old, who has not played for the Black Stars since 2014, was in camp to inspire the players ahead of tonight's game.

In photos posted on social media, the former Inter Milan star is seen interacting with the players as they prepare to face Portugal. Muntari is a World Cup veteran.
