Former Brazilian footballer, Careca has compared Victor Osimhen to the late soccer icon, Pele, after watching the Nigerian's Serie A goal against AS Roma.
The goal against Jose Mourinho's side earned the Naples star the Serie A Player of the Month award for January 2023 and has also been tipped for goal of the season title.
A long pass was sent to Osimhen which the Nigerian controlled with his chest, before volleying into the back of the net to help his team to victory.
Even after the game, Roma gaffer, Mourinho hailed the Super Eagles striker for his impressive showings this season in Italy.

According to the report by Complete Sports, Careca - who was Diego Maradona's teammate at Napoli - claimed he saw Pele's skills in Osimhen.

''In the goal scored against Roma, I saw something similar to Pelé. [Osimhen] dominated the ball, dominated the defender and smashed the goal. In that goal, there is everything: technique, malice and power.”
Sports Brief spoke to Nigerian sports reporter, Oma Akatugba, who is very close to Osimhen.
He commented the world 'had not seen anything yet' when it comes to the Napoli striker.
''Victor is the best striker right now in the world and that is why every big club in Europe want him, and this makes me happy. I always tell him to keep doing his best because the world has not seen anything yet about him.''
