Napoli chiefs are reportedly preparing to offer Nigerian big striker Victor Osimhen new contract so as to keep him off the the radar of some European giants looking for him.
The Super Eagles star has been wonderful this season for Napoli in the Serie A where he has scored 16 goals so far and he is the one leading the goalscoring chart.
In the history of the Italian Serie A, no Nigerian players has ever won the Golden Boot award and Osimhen has now been tipped to break the record.
Interestingly, his countryman Ademola Lookman is the one occupying second position on the goalscoring chart with 12 goals.

The likes of Manchester United and Liverpool and the Premier League side monitoring Osimhen before Spanish champions Real Madrid joined the race.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Napoli chiefs have started talk with Osimhen's agent so as for him to sign another one year deal.
The current contract of Osimhen at Napoli will be expiring in June 2025.
Meanwhile, Napoli are topping the Serie A standings with 56 points after 21 games played so far this term.
