Ademola Lookman on Saturday, 11 February, continued with his impressive performances in the Serie A this season as he made an assist for Atalanta in their win over Lazio.

The Nigerian forward has been in superb form this season for his club in Italy registering 12 goals so far in the Serie A with only Victor Osimhen ahead of him.

Lazio went into the game against Atalanta with the target of them recording a win infront of their fans, but Lookman and his teammates were more determined to get the win.

Lookman would have given his side the lead in the 11th minute, but he missed the chance.

When did Atalanta score?

Davide Zappacosta got the first goal for Atalanta in the 23rd minute before Lookman provided the assist that gave Hojlund the second goal in the 65th minute.

As things stand now, Atalanta are occupying third position on the Serie A standings with 41 points after 22 games played this term.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Ademola Lookman finally cleared the air over his decision to choose the Super Eagles of Nigeria over England, claiming he has no regret playing for the west African nation.

The Atalanta forward was born in London to Nigerian parents and was eligible to play for the Three Lions but decided instead to represent the three-time African champions.

Despite playing for England at a youth level, Lookman snubbed the Europeans for international duties and joined the Super Eagles.

So far for the Nigerian team, Lookman has featured in six games, netting one goal.
